Welcome to Paradise! Upon arrival at Male International Airport, you will be greeted by our local rep and transferred across to your guesthouse on Hulhumale. Relax after your flight before meeting the rest of your group and starting to explore the local area.
The centrepiece to the island of Hulhumale is its huge mosque – the golden glass dome of which is visible from all over the southern part of North Male Atoll! Feel free to explore the cultural hub at your own pace this afternoon, or lie by the sea on the golden sands of Hulhumale’s palm-fringed beach! The Maldives is known as the home to the world’s best beaches…time to get your tan on!
Rise and Shine – you woke up in the Maldives! Today we’ll head out on a Male City Tour! Marvel at bustling local markets, the world-renowned President’s Palace and experience traditional Maldivian Friday Mosque. After lunch, we’ll jump aboard the ferry to the beautiful island of Guraidhoo, our magical home for the next few days, another slice of paradise!

This morning, head down to the beach and into the ocean to explore the house reef of Guraidhoo for your first underwater encounter! Discover an abundance of beautiful marine life within the world’s clearest waters! Prepare to marvel at schools of rare fish, giant clams, Hawks-bill turtles and possibly even whitetip reef sharks! Your guide will give a safety briefing on responsible snorkelling and act as your ‘spotter’ pointing out incredible marine life as you explore.
In the afternoon, explore Guraidhoo with the opportunity to learn about the local way of life!
Visit the local Mosque, learn how the common wooden boat known locally as a ‘dhoni’ is built and take some time to leave your mark on the island by planting your very own coconut palm tree!

It’s time to make a difference! Learn about waste management in the Maldives and the work we’re doing with plastic recycling as we join forces with locals to complete a beach clean-up. Make a real difference within the local community and to Maldivian marine life to help keep the island a magical paradise!

Prepare for an early start this morning as we transfer by ferry to the local island of
Maafushi, just 20 minutes away. After checking into the guesthouse you will have another opportunity to explore the underwater beauty of the Maldives and a brand new island! We will stop at a sandbank for a picnic lunch with time to swim and snorkel in the crystal blue lagoon or just lie back and relax (crucial tanning time!).
This afternoon, prepare for everyone’s favourite part of the trip! We’ll head back to Maafushi and will cruise the Indian Ocean at sundown, in search of wild Maldivian dolphins! Keep your eyes peeled and the camera’s at the ready for dolphins swimming the ocean-top in their wild habitat… a truly unforgettable experience!*
*Please note, it is not guaranteed that dolphins will be seen on the dolphin cruise. This is dependent on the time of year and various other factors.

Today we’ll learn the story of coral reef preservation and rehabilitation, as well as the importance of Maldivian seagrass. Get involved with planting and housekeeping in the ‘coral nursery’ to help preserve the diverse coral and precious marine life of the Maldives. Put on your snorkels and keep your eyes peeled throughout, as the coral nurseries are the home to some magnificent creatures! Go-Pro’s at the ready!

After breakfast, take a short 20-minute ferry journey to the peaceful local island of Gulhi, famous for its almost untouched land. Upon arrival, head to the beautiful ‘bikini beach’ for some relaxing downtime, or for the more energetic, join your guide for a boat trip and another snorkelling opportunity on the house reef of Gulhi! There’s no such thing as too much snorkelling, right?!

Spend the day topping up your tan at the local beach or get involved with some of our recommended optional tours! Your guide will be able to help you plan any extra
activities you want to get involved with such as reef diving, snorkelling or a trip to one of the Maldives world-renowned luxury resorts!

Prepare for an early start and a jam-packed day as we take the morning ferry to the capital city of Male and on to Villimale. Here we will meet and learn about the outstanding work of ‘Save the Beach’, whilst discovering the quieter side of city life by exploring the smaller island of Villimale’, located south-west of the capital.
Wander the quiet streets, learn the names of local trees and learn more about the conservation
work being carried out. Snorkel the house reef to view the coral nursery and sample traditional
‘hedika’ snacks at a local café on the beachfront. There may also be some time at the end of the day to head for a swim, or top up the tan!

Today is spent supporting Save the Beach. Dependent on the time of your visit and progression of their projects, these are just some of the areas where you can get involved to really make a difference, these activities are designed not only to support the community and the environment but also to increase your own knowledge of Maldivian marine life and conservation!

This morning we’ll transfer to the island of Dhiffushi by ferry and spend the afternoon relaxing on the beach catching some rays or exploring the local area. Dhiffushi is riddled with local market stalls, so why not use this opportunity to pick up some souvenirs or grab a bargain on some traditional Maldivian clothing?!

Following breakfast, explore the Maldivian island, Dhiffushi with your guide. A visit to the picturesque harbour will show us how fishing and the sea are integral to the lives and livelihoods of the Maldivian people. Discover the two mosques in the heart of the village and immerse yourself in the beautiful culture of Dhiffushi. This evening join the fishermen at the harbour and learn how to fish the traditional Maldivian way as the sun sets over the horizon. Cameras at the ready!

Rise and shine, it’s time to get back into the ocean! After breakfast, enjoy a snorkelling trip to nearby reefs to discover the underwater world of the Maldives. Keep your eyes open for turtles, reef sharks and rays, you never know what you may discover! Don’t forget your sun-cream or your GoPro!
This evening is yours to check out the local cafes and restaurants, be sure to check in with your guide for their best recommendations!

Today we join forces with members of the local community to complete a beach clean-up. This will include sorting, preparing for collection and recording findings before rewarding ourselves with an ocean swim and an afternoon at the beach – time to top up that tan!

This morning a local Maldivian will demonstrate how to make mashuni and roshi, two famous local Maldivian dishes! This will be an opportunity for you to test your skills at making both as well as tasting the food you make. This afternoon, enjoy some free time to do some more snorkelling, chill at the beach, or get involved with some optional activities such as island hopping or watersports!

There are two beautiful beaches at Dhiffushi and today is yours to relax on the white sandy beaches of either or both! For those feeling a little more energetic, take advantage of the many water sport options available, or if you’re feeling extra fancy – why not check out the local luxury resorts?*

Prepare for an early start as today you will travel by ferry for a trip to the local island of Huraa in North Male’ Atoll. This offers firsthand information about local island life. Gain insights into the simple life led by the villagers; discover the mangrove swamps and freshwater lake and learn more about this fragile eco-system.
Discover how fish are dried and cured and taste fresh rihakaru paste, a true love it or hate it delicacy! There is time to take lunch at a local cafe and spend some time relaxing on the beach before returning to Dhiffushi.

Today is yours to relax at the beach or to get involved with some optional activities. This evening we will enjoy a beach side BBQ dinner as the sun goes down!

Transfer by early morning ferry to Thulusdhoo where the rest of the day is free for you to do as you please. Today you will check into a beautiful 4 star beachfront hotel to spend your last night in luxury. Relax on the beach, enjoy the view from the hotel rooftop pool or pamper yourself in the spa – true Maldives style! You’ll also have the chance to visit a ‘bar boat’ moored just beyond the lagoon *(Drinks not included)
