I saved up for a long time to go on this trip and it was so worth it! I would do it all over again if I could. I have the Travel Bug now.

Additional information

Camp Vietnam in a nutshell…

CampVietnam is an organisation that specialises in sending applicants out toVietnam to spend their summer having fun and working at Camp. With teams based in both the UK and Vietnam we have a wealth of knowledge to ensure that our applicants are provided with the best support. Not only does Camp Vietnam provide safe, friendly and fun Summer Camp positions, we also provide all applicants with the full training they will need to start teaching (no matter their previous experience). Our applicants will be given an internationally accredited, 30 hour Teaching Young Learners Qualification. We also run an orientation and teaching seminar once they arrive in Vietnam , to give them that extra boost of confidence before they hit the classrooms!

CampVietnam provide full support to your son/daughter throughout the whole process. From submitting their application to when they leaveVietnam , there will always be someone to help. All applicants are met at the airport and are taken to their accommodation for their first night in Bangkok, before we then transport them by VIP bus straight to Camp. During these two days, we ensure all applicants meet other teachers, get all the information they need and get fully settled in and are prepared for their adventure ahead!

On all of our programs, we can offer applicants guidance in their visa application process. Most applicants will enter the country on a 30 day Tourist Visa, depending upon how long they want to stay inVietnam for. If your son or daughter plan to stay inVietnam for longer than 30 days, they should apply for a single entry Thai tourist visa which will cover them for 60 days. CampVietnam will help all applicants through the visa application process, so there is nothing to worry about.

Travel to and from Vietnam

Once an applicant has been confirmed on the program and we have received their deposit to secure their place, we will put them in touch with our flight partners. Our flight partners have many years of experience and are experts at finding the right flights at the right prices to suit our applicants. If any of our applicants are unsure as to when they want to come home, this is not a problem; our flight partners offer amazing flexi-flight deals as well.

Camp Vietnam fees and refunds

All payments are non-refundable if a cancellation is made by the applicant. However, if the cancellation is a result of serious extenuating circumstance, the team could look into partially refunding the applicant. Any applicant who has not provided all necessary documentation in time will not be offered a refund as we cannot process that person without a complete application. For more information on our refunds policy, please read our Terms and Conditions.

What Vaccinations do I need?

There are some essential vaccinations that everyone should have before they come to Camp Vietnam. These will generally be free under the NHS. There are other vaccinations you can get and you should also be up to date with all your routine jabs. We recommend booking and appointment with your GP at least 6 weeks before your departure as they will be able to give you their professional opinion.

What should I wear?

Vietnam is a tropical country, therefore meaning it can often be very hot and humid. It’s also not uncommon for it to have heavy rains in certain seasons.

As Camp Vietnam has a very active itinerary, we suggest bring a pair of sturdy shoes and a few changes of all weather clothes that will be suitable in humid climates.

We will be sending a full packing list to everyone a couple of months before departure with a much more detailed list of what we thing are the essentials. © 2019
