What must a potential AusJob intern have?

  • Speak English to a good standard
  • A Working Holiday Visa 417  or 462  (which the AusJob team can help you with if needed)
  • Be available full time during the agreed period of the internship (minimum of 6 week placements)
  • Sufficient travel insurance for the duration of your stay
  • Complete a Monthly Training Diary

Bronze Package-

  • Internship within a well respected company
  • Pre-arrival orientation (via Skype)

  • Academic component- for those doing this internship for academic credits, AusJob will ensure you have everything necessary to achieve those credits through this internship.

Silver Package-

This package includes everything from the Bronze package, as well as:

  • Airport pick up
  • In-country orientation
  • Transfers to your accommodation

Gold Package –

This package includes everything from the Bronze and Silver packages, as well as:

  • Pre-organised accommodation throughout your internship for six weeks

So how do you go about getting one of these incredible Internships? It’s simple, follow the instructions below:

1. Once you have applied, the team will access your application and be in touch with you shortly after.

At this stage, your will be required to pay an Application Fee (£10) ahead of scheduling a Skype interview with the team.

2. You will undergo a short Skype interview with the team. They will talk through the programme with you, answer any questions you may have and further assess your suitability for the programme.

If successful, you will be invited to secure your place by paying your £99 deposit.

If unsuccessful, your £10 Application Fee will be refunded.

3. Once your deposit has been received, you will then need to complete a more thorough application form which is sent, along with required documents such as your CV and cover letter, to our placement team Down Under.

At this point, you will also be required to make your Stage 2 Payment.

Once this payment has been received, we will begin the process of sourcing your internship.

4. On finding a suitable internship for you, we will get in touch and pass on the details of the organisation, along with a role description so you can decide if you would like to proceed.

5. If you are happy with the internship offered to you, we will then arrange a telephone interview between you and the internship host organisation.

6. Once this has been completed, you have 48 hours to accept your internship.

On accepting we will then require your Final Balance Payment.

[If you feel the role offered to you is not right, we can source another internship opportunity for you. We will repeat this process until you are satisfied. Please remember, once an internship has been rejected, it cannot be returned to.]

7. Once you have accepted your AusJob internship and paid your Stage 3 fee, we will arrange a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU)* between all parties. The MOU will confirm the role description and the dates of the internship. A pre-departure orientation will also be arranged, covering such things as: Safety, Laws, Australian Culture, making the most of your internship, logistics and troubleshooting.

During your stay in Australia or New Zealand we provide 24/7 phone support, and, if required, in-person support. We can also assist with accommodation, travel and all other aspects of your visit.

What Must a Potential Intern Have?

In order to be eligible for one of our Internships, you must;

  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Proficient in both spoken and written English
  • Be available for 1 to 6 months
  • Currently studying or have graduated from a university or equivalent institution
  • Be open-minded, willing to learn new things and meet new people
  • You do not need to speak mandarin, but it is always better if you have a basic understanding

How Does It Work?

So how do you go about getting one of these incredible Internships? It’s simple, follow the instructions below:

  1. After you have completed your initial application (you can do that here), the team will access it and be in touch with you shortly after.
  2. If successful, you will then be sent a more in-depth application form required to be completed and submitted back to us, along with your CV. You will also be required to pay your Application Fee (£10) ahead of scheduling a short call with the team.
  3. Once your documentation has been received, we will arrange a time to call that works best for you. Your short call with the team will involve us talking you through the programme, answering any questions you may have and further assessing your suitability for the programme.
  4. If successful, you will be invited to secure your place by paying your Deposit (£99). If unsuccessful, your Application Fee will be refunded to you.
  5. Once your deposit has been received, your documentation will be sent to our placement team in China. At this point, you will also be required to make your Stage 2 Payment (to see complete programme cost, click here).
  6. Once your Stage 2 Payment has been received, we can then organise your Skype call with our placement team in China.
  7. After your Skype call, we will then begin the process of sourcing your internship.
  8. On finding a suitable internship for you, we will then assist you with obtaining the correct visa required for your time in China. You will also now be required to make your Final Balance Payment.

Throughout your time in China, we provide you with 24/7 support and mentoring.We can also assist with accommodation, travel and all other aspects of your visit.
