Camp Caribbean is a volunteer programme offering the incredible opportunity to really make a difference to children and young people in schools and clubs in St Lucia. Through the use of sport, volunteers will help to tackle issues on the Island such as gang culture and obesity.
St Lucia is a small island on the Caribbean, just 27 miles long and 14 miles wide, filled with stunning beaches, magnificent rainforests and iconic mountains. With weekly carnivals, water sports, and national parks, St Lucia has something for everyone. Home to the Black Pearl Cruise you can spend nights on the island watching the sunset, dreaming of Pirates of The Caribbean.
Volunteering in schools coaching sports
Camp Caribbean specialises in providing Activity Coaches to schools on St Lucia in the beautiful Caribbean. We use the power of sport to encourage and engage with local children in schools and disadvantaged communities, tackling issues like childhood obesity and gang culture. Volunteers can coach a range of different sports such as football, rugby, cricket, netball, tennis and more. This is a one in a lifetime chance to spend your days really making a difference in
Weekday sessions of volunteering take place after school from 2pm until 4pm, depending on the times of the school. Saturday sessions will take place from 10am until 12pm.
Volunteers will then have free time in the mornings and during the day until they have their sessions, to roam the Island and explore their new surroundings.
Some of the most popular activities for volunteers to get involved in in their space time include a Rain Forest Adventures Aerial Tram, sulphur springs, zip lining, paintballing and more.
With the beach being just minutes from the accommodation, this is also one of the most popular spots to spend sunny mornings in St Lucia.
Volunteers will also have the chance to play sports with each other whilst on the programme, and even get to challenge some of the locals in a range of sporting activities.
