Costa Ricans use "pure vida" to greet all guests, meaning "pure life", this clearly shows the chilled out and happy nature of the country and it's people. Overflowing with small European bars, reggae music and surfers, Playa Chiquita in Costa Rica is the location for you this summer.

  • On your arrival day you will be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel for your first night in where'll you be based in San Jose, the capital of Costa Rica. Spend your first night exploring and learning about Costa Rica's fascinating history and culture.
  • The following morning a coach will be organised to take you to Cocles, your location for the following few weeks. Settle into your shared accommodation and start making friends with your new housemates.

Your two days off will not necessarily fall on the weekend but will be free for you to explore the surrounding wonders waiting for you to discover.
  • Whilst you are volunteering you will be helping with receiving and evaluating newly arrived animals at the rescue centre. On top of that you will help with the daily care of the animals and sometimes you may even get to release them back into the private nature reserve.
